Study Finds that Most People Have No Regrets About Decision to Divorce

By Laura Fishman

While you may feel a bit heartbroken after divorce, there’s a good chance that you will have no regrets about the divorce when it’s all over with. A recent Avvo study found that 73% of women report having no regret over being divorced while 61% of men say the same. What’s more is that 75% of women say that’d rather be alone, successful and happy than be unhappy in a relationship. About 58% of men feel the same way about being unhappy in the relationship.

This study provides a bit of optimism when it comes to divorce. While the divorce process might be emotionally draining, or even financially draining, there’s hope that things will be better. In Oregon, there are many divorce attorneys that can help divorcing couples understand their legal rights when it comes to divorce. There are also many mediators and collaborative lawyers that can help divorcing couples come to an agreement so that a marriage can end amicably.
